Do you wish they were more cultural, with authentic tasks adapted to the level of your students? Whether you want to “upgrade” your textbook units, or start from scratch in designing rich input-based cultural units, this workshop will guide you step-by-step through this important ACTFL core practice. We will explore what makes a unit compelling and cultural, and we will use the Backward Design process to create or transform one of our current units into a cultural unit with an engaging theme, clear learning objectives, and proficiency-driven assessment, in-class input-based activities, and tasks. Participants will need a laptop.
